Account and Data Deletion
VoluChat (operated by QubitNine Technologies Private Limited) provides users and merchants with complete control over their personal data. You can delete your account and personal information at any time directly in the mobile app or via email.
How to Delete Your Account (In-App)
If you have the VoluChat mobile application or access to the web dashboard, you can permanently erase your account in seconds:
Open Profile Settings
Open the VoluChat app on your iOS or Android device (or sign into dashboard.voluchat.com). Tap your avatar or account in the navigation sidebar and select Profile.
Locate Danger Zone
Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the Profile page and click the Delete Account button.
Re-authenticate & Confirm
Enter your current password (or request a 6-digit email OTP if authenticated via Google or Meta). Type DELETE in all caps to confirm immediate permanent removal.
Don't have the mobile app installed?
If you uninstalled the VoluChat app, lost device access, or cannot log in, submit a manual deletion request to our Data Protection Officer. We verify account ownership and process all requests within 48 hours (maximum 30 days per statutory privacy rights).
What Data is Deleted vs. Retained
In accordance with Google Play Store User Data Policy and Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v), here is our complete data handling disclosure upon account deletion:
Permanently Deleted Immediately
Instant Purge- •Personal profile information (first name, last name, email address, phone number, avatar URL)
- •Authentication credentials, password hashes, and two-factor authentication secrets
- •All active login sessions, refresh tokens, and device push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging & Apple APNs)
- •Saved delivery addresses, active customer shopping carts, and in-app notification logs
- •Connected third-party social identities (Google, Instagram, and Facebook OAuth links)
Retained Solely for Legal Compliance
Statutory Retention- •Completed e-commerce order, checkout, and payment transaction logs, retained strictly in an anonymized format
- •Financial, tax, invoice, and anti-fraud transaction records required to be kept for statutory accounting rules (retained for 5–7 years per regulatory mandates)
⚠Important Note for Store Owners & Administrators
If you are the Store Owner of a boutique or brand account with active staff members, you must transfer store ownership to an active team member prior to deleting your personal profile. If you are the sole member of a store, deleting your account will deactivate the store catalog and archive all active integrations.
